Steven is a Long Island native, growing up in Bethpage, he developed a love for the game of golf at a young age. With great golf accessible to him only a few miles away he spent much of his free time playing until he took his first job working for a local county course. After spending his summers getting to know the basics of golf maintenance he decided to educate himself further in the science that is turf management. After receiving a degree from Penn State University in turf management, Steven got his start as the second assistant at Nassau Country Club before he moved on to Woodside Club where he spent a season as the second assistant. Soon after his first season, Steven was promoted to the Assistant Superintendent position, a position he has held for the last 5 years. Late last year, Steven was promoted again to the Superintendent’s position and is now entering his first full season in charge of Woodside Club. It is his ambition and goal to continue providing the excellent playing conditions he has helped provide in years past while also implementing his own ideas and strategies to continue taking Woodside Club to the next level.
